Artillery Sidewinder X1 v4 BLTouch problem
« on: October 03, 2020, 02:19:50 PM »
Firstly hi to everyone and thanks for the awesome guide for the X1.
I followed the instructions at https://3duk.co.uk/index.php?topic=30.0 and installed the 2.0 firmware along with the touchscreen FW which all seems to have gone ok and no errors, calibrated it using the round tool provided, if I do an auto-level from the LCD it does the multi point probing (no clicking noise so not sure if that's a problem).
Then I added G29 line to my cura machine settings, this is my start G-code (maybe someone can see something wrong?)

Code: [Select]
G28 ; home all axes
G29 ;Probe time
 M117 Purge extruder
 G92 E0 ; reset extruder
G1 Z1.0 F3000 ; move z up little to prevent scratching of surface
 G1 X2 Y20 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; move to start-line position
 G1 X2 Y200.0 Z0.3 F1500.0 E15 ; draw 1st line
 G1 X2 Y200.0 Z0.4 F5000.0 ; move to side a little
 G1 X2 Y20 Z0.4 F1500.0 E30 ; draw 2nd line
 G92 E0 ; reset extruder
G1 Z1.0 F3000 ; move z up little to prevent scratching of surface

I tried printing the little round calibration tool after all these changes and what happens is that it does the probing, then prints the first layer, then the printer gets stuck when trying to move to the next layer, the fan stuck on max too.

I see some people had to reverse some pins either on the RGB connector or on the board, I just have the same connections as the pdf guide.
I have also moved the z stop sensor (from the right gantry) as instructed.

This is what it prints before it gets stuck.

Any ideas?

I might have found the issue but not sure how to fix it.
Above I was using a USB stick to print the model and now I have sent the model directly from a computer via pronterface and the side USB port (printer type port) and it got pas the first layer so what can it be?
I have checked that the cable from the LCD to the mainboard is fitted correctly and not loose but not sure what else I can check.
Any ideas?
